How to Use Books by Mail

Do you need a physical book from the Pumerantz Library's collection? We can mail your request to wherever you are!

First and Second Year Oregon Students

  • You can check out up to 2 books at a time in ILLiad.
  • Books can be kept for 6 weeks. You can renew your book one time to keep the book for another 6 weeks.
  • Books will be mailed to the Lebanon campus bookstore for you to pick up.
  • Return your books to the Lebanon campus bookstore to be mailed back to the Pomona campus.

Third and Fourth Year/Rotation Oregon Students

  • You can check out up to 2 books at a time in ILLiad.
  • Books can be kept for 6 weeks. You can renew your book one time to keep the book for another 6 weeks.
  • Books will be mailed to your primary address (This address is provided in the User Information section of ILLiad). Books are usually mailed out within 48 hours of receiving your request.
  • You are responsible for return postage when mailing back the book to the Pumerantz Library in Pomona.

First, find the physical book you need in our catalog:

 

Go to ILLiad and sign in with your WesternU email username and password:

Fill in the "New Request: Book" form with the book's information. Be sure to fill in the Notes box saying you are on the Oregon campus or on rotations.

 

On-Campus Oregon Students:

If you are on the Oregon campus, the book will be sent to the campus bookstore for you to pick up. When you are done with the book, return it to the campus bookstore.

 

Rotations Students:

If you are on rotations, be sure to fill in the Notes box saying you are on rotations in the "New Request: Book" form. Also, in your "Personal Information" form, include your primary mailing address, as library books will be sent to that address. When you are done with the book, mail it back to the Pumerantz Library; you are responsible for return postage.
