Medical, nursing, and health science programs are seeing a rising number of students with disabilities in their programs; concurrently, the benefits of diversity in healthcare are increasingly apparent and important.

This text is intended to teach students, counselors and others working with the chronically ill and disabled how to better understand the manifestations of common chronic illnesses and the disabilities among their clients.
