Share a Hotel Room

Buddy up for a hotel room! Between 2 or 3 people, the room rate can be split up amongst the occupants. Look for hotel rooms that have multiple beds and/or a sofa bed.

Accommodation Packages

Look for conference accommodation packages! Usually, discounted rates are offered for student attendees and sometimes first time attendees.

Hotel Rates

Compare hotel rates based on location! Hotels closer to conference headquarters tend to be more expensive, while hotels farther away tend to be cheaper. Also, hotels, especially the hotel that serves as the conference's headquarters, set a special room rate for conference attendees.

Travel Tips

  • If a conferences is being held locally, it is recommended that you drive to the conference. Fly to conferences that are at least 2 hours away in the same state or are out of state.
  • If you are flying to your conference, buy tickets for your flight after your conference registration and hotel room are confirmed.
  • The cost of airfare depends on the day and time you choose to fly out. In the U.S., the cheapest days to fly on are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Saturday. The cheapest times to fly are around dawn, overnight, or during the lunch or dinner hour. You can consider these options if your schedule is flexible. For more information, check out Farecompare's page "Cheapest Days to Fly and Best Time to Buy Airline Tickets".
